6 education officials suspended for negligence during SSC exam | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: The Telangana state education department suspended six officials on Saturday after they were found to be negligent in discharging their duties.
The officials who were suspended or relieved include, one departmental officer and chief superintendent from Hyderabad, one chief superintendent, two departmental officers and one custodian from Rangareddy district.They were found to be negligent during the conduct of SSC Maths papers.
While it remains unclear as to what had happened, sources noted that in some centers, the complete answer booklet was not delivered to students leading to some confusion.
A total of 4,93,652 students attended the examination as against 4,95,293 who had registered with an attendance of 99.67%. Among private candidates, 87.35% attendance was reported, with 5,301 appearing for the exams.
Officials further added that no malpractice cases were reported. Until now four examinations have been completed for students and the next scheduled examination is Science.
